Community and voluntary groups can once again bid for a share of South Cambridgeshire District Council’s Community Chest fund, which helps fund local projects.
A total of £57,000 is now available for local groups to bid for during the next 12 months.
Last year, more than 90 projects that work to improve the quality of life for South Cambridgeshire residents benefited. This includes a scout group that received money for new camping equipment, a group given funds towards the redevelopment of a play area and a bowls club that successfully applied for funds to put towards new score boards.
Groups can apply for up to £1,000 for:
South Cambridgeshire District Council’s Head of Sustainable Communities and Wellbeing, Gemma Barron, said: “It’s great that we’re once again accepting applications for funding via our Community Chest. There are so many brilliant community groups throughout South Cambridgeshire that are deserving of a helping hand like this. Applications are decided on a first come, first served basis so I’d encourage any group thinking of applying to do so as soon as they can.”
