Decisions from February 2018 Planning Committee

The following decisions were made at this week’s meeting of South Cambridgeshire District Council’s Planning Committee, held on Wednesday 7 February at South Cambridgeshire Hall, Cambourne:

  1. 48 new homes, including landscaping and open space, at land off Mill Lane, Sawston
    Applicant: Croudance Homes Ltd
    Decision: Approved

  2. The demolition of a barn, to be replaced with a car repair workshop at New Barn, Brook Road, Thriplow
    Applicant: Thriplow Farms Ltd
    Decision: Deferred

  3. 36 new homes, parking and public open space, including a children’s play area, following demolition of existing buildings at Thriplow Farm, Lodge Road, Thriplow
    Applicant: Hill Residential Ltd and Thriplow Farms Ltd
    Decision: Deferred

  4. 22 new homes, including 11 affordable properties, along with associated green space, following demolition of existing farmhouse and outbuildings at Sheen Farm, Royston Road, Litlington
    Applicant: Greater Cambridgeshire Housing Development Agency
    Decision: Approved

  5. 10 new affordable houses on land to the north of Church Street, Great Eversden.
    Applicant: Accent Housing
    Decision: Deferred

  6. Up to five homes on land south of Bartlow Road, Castle Camps
    Applicant: Elbourn Carter Trust
    Decision: Approved

  7. Consultation response to proposals for construction and development of a waste recovery facility at Waterbeach Waste Management Park, Ely Road, Waterbeach. Cambridgeshire County Council are the waste planning authority and will determine this application
    Applicant: AmeyCespa (East) Limited
    Decision: Planning Committee asked that the Council object to the proposals due to the impact they believe they would have on Denny Abbey’s setting. Cambridgeshire County Council will make the final decision on the application
